Charlie’s Fish & Chips: Authentic Southern Seafood Experience in Los Angeles

Combo of two fish (5 pieces each) catfish and red snapper with fries, salad and hushpuppies is way big enough for two people! Really enjoyed my meal. They gave us tons of sauces too!

If you want delicious fish and chicken wings, this is the place they have excellent food. The customer service is also excellent so if you want a grab and go for lunch you got it. I checked out Charlie's Fish N Chips. Got the Red Snapper and Shrimp combo, both deep fried. Came with Fries, a dinner roll and a salad. The Fish and Shrimp were hittin', the Fries weren't hot. Staff was cool and efficient. I would go here again 100.

Food was delicious and service was amazing! They were so accommodating of my elderly mother. Seasonings are perfect, and it's not greasy! We'll be back, for sure. Only thing is no public restrooms, but of you take food to go. It's perfect.

They have the best fried fish in WLA. I always get the 9 piece red snapper special that comes with fries, salad, hush puppies and a dinner roll. The pieces of fish are thick and meaty. The fish is fresh and this seasoning is delicious. I'm never disappointed.

I just stopped by for an early lunch at Charlie's Fish today; treated like royalty! I had the lunch special. 3pc Red Snapper w/3 medium shrimp. It also comes w/2 slices of bread, 2 hush puppies, a generous serving of Idaho-Cut French Fries, hot sauce, and tartar sauce. The Red Snapper was fresh and tasty. It was cooked just right, crispy and crunchy and not greasy. Not too much where it melts in your mouth! The hush puppies were good as well as the french fries. I also had a black cherry soda as well, which was great to wash it all down. It's a great neighborhood spot in a great location. Not fancy by any means. However, it is definitely a jewel in the West LA area. If you enjoy seafood, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

One of the better fried fish options in LA. I like Charlie’s much better than Penguin Fish down the street and others East of it. They don’t skimp on the portions and all of our food was cooked perfectly. They have a large menu with lots of options. The Dinner and Special options are pretty much the same, both come with a salad, roll, and fries but the Special is larger in fish count. They have a large parking lot attached to the strip mall they’re located in so parking is easy. They’re to-go only and are very quick so you won’t have to wait long. We chose the Orange Roughy Special with was really delicious and a huge portion of food, and the Jumbo Shrimp, which were also great and much better than some other places we have been to recently. Everything was perfectly fried. Overall a good option if you’re in the mood for fish and chips. I would recommend and plan to be back in the future.
